Today my pop surrealist art is in two openings and in the paper!!! One is at Lunar Boy Gallery. It’s the Goonies Show, for the 25th anniversary of the movie. There is a big celebration in Astoria, the town where the movie was shot. And it looks like a great pop art show! Already a bunch of pieces of the show have sold!!

So this is “The Goonies Saved” an 11×14 acrylic painting. I took one of the famous posters of the movie and made my own version of it, with my characters. But I added my beloved bees to come to their rescue and not fall into the cave.

So this one above is Prince M. I love this painting. He’s soooo happy. It makes me happy.

So last night’s art show opening at Blu Moon when great! Even though it rained elephants the turn out was great. Lots of people. We shot a bunch of videos that I’ll upload in the next few days. And I met a few fans of my pop surrealist art at the event that had seen my article on the paper! That was amazing!!! It felt so good!

Oh oh, and I haven’t mentioned I’m one of the artists painting Wizys for the Custom Wizy Gallery Tour 2010 that starts in September!! Look below the first video promo they did for the tour!

This is going to be my first Custom Toy show ever!! And Wizard Sleeve Toys is trying to get my Wizy for the Florida SuperCon Comic Book Convention June 18-20, so I can show it in my Artist Table at the Con~!!

Showing at “Served Cold” Group Show at Pink Ghost

The theme of this show is Revenge. It’s a very unusual subject for me. Normally my characters live in the Aleloop Planet that’s a very happy, quirky and unexpended world. So I’m painting specially for this show a series of 3 characters showing the dark side of revenge. Of course they are all very funny. And this one below is the first of series of 3.

Pop Surrealist Art Show "Served Cold" at Pink Ghost Gallery

I’m very happy to be participating in this group show called “Served Cold”. An art show inspired by revenge, at the wonderful “Pink Ghost” pop art / pop surrealist art gallery in Ft. Lauderdale!! I’ll be selling a limited edition of giclee prints of my 3 paintings in the show.

The amazing G40 show is 80.000sf of art exhibition space, with events during the whole month of March! This show is organized by Art Whino Gallery!! Can’t wait to go!!!
