Unaided – Animated Short Film

A short film about a father who knows nothing about house chores and only of his own work, he later finds out that house chores are lot harder than he thought. This short animation is the outcome of our blood, sweat and tears. we have been working on this short film for 3 months. Consurgo (Steampunk Style Animated Short Film)

Colorbleed Studios has created a morbidly beautiful CGI animated short called Consurgo. The film is a sad heartfelt story that shows you why you shouldn’t be standing in the middle of the street. This is a student film, and the story includes an interesting use of steampunk. Most of the designs, style, and settings are beautiful, and I’d actually like to see more from this world that was created. Here’s a little synopsis that is provided: In this steampunk styled short film, created in our second year of school, a girl loses the ball she’s playing with and it ends up on the street. Her father tries to get it back for her, but then something brutal happens. The girl, full of tears, doesn’t know what to think when a monstrous creature appears and seems to be after her and her father. Consurgo is latin for ‘to arise’ and blends perfectly with the story. This sad story picks up halfway to something incredibly fantastic.

The film also appeared at the Smithsonian, the AFI/Kennedy Center for Film Fest DC, on Canal Plus Television in France, and was one of 37 short films that qualified for Academy Award® consideration in 1997.
