Today I got to my studio followed by Minicat and we discovered a beautiful male Peacock hanging out in the roof of my art and design studio in Coconut Grove. Minicat and I shot great shots of the peacock and then she really turned animated.

These are 4 gyclee canvas prints I did at @imagekind. I printed them also on paper a little bit bigger. These are from a series very different to everything I do with characters. The main theme is what women are about. These are original digital art, drawn in the computer and are a mix of intricate women drawings and a collage of elements.

Here are some of my toys, Boomerang lamp and lunch box from when I was working at the Cartoon Network, some family pics, a couple of screen printed gift boxes, some of my design awards up there and 2 stop motion armatures I built a while a go and are awesome!

These are one of my two sets of black butterflies, with a canvas print of my Chihuahuas characters and Cartoon Network clock. I love the black butterflies, when I look at them, is like they take me flying to a wonderful world with them.

And at last, here are my beautiful (dog like behavior) two and half cats hanging out outside. They walk with me to the studio like if they are dogs, and stay with me pretty much all day in the studio either eating, asking for attention, sleeping or asking me to walk with them back home. These are Orbit, Mundo and Minicat:

Keeping a video library for motion graphics, motion design, animation and broadcast design projects
Hello!
In this video I talk about the importance of keeping a video library, how it can help any illustrator, designer, motion graphics artist, motion designer, animator or broadcast designer save a lot of time when getting new projects with quick turns arounds. I shot it at the beautiful Biltmore Hotel, here in Coral Gables during a weekend retreat to plan the rest of the year (I know! so much work, but it was great!)

Today, my friend Luz is doing an inventory of what I have left from the first run of hand screenprinted t-shirts and underwear to put up for sale in my new Etsy store!! I just signed up with Etsy!
Below you can see pics from the catalog shoot we did a few months ago with my super photographer friend Mat Schwarz. Most of the models are from my swim team here in Miami! Working with friends in something you love is the BEST!

I’m SO proud of my cats
Last night I went out to dinner with my husband. When we came back to the house, we see my 2 cats coming from my design studio (next door) running back inside. The cats, had moved the chair and briefcase that blocks their cat door (just a hole with a flap) and sneaked out!! When they heard the car parking, they run back inside. I was about to get mad, but I realized the cats where just doing what they REALLY wanted to do, and that’s admirable. They got it DONE, no matter what obstacle was in their way.
Some people ‘move mountains’ to get where they REALLY want.
- Do you have one in your list of things to do a project you’ve been working on forever?
- Are you working on a personal project for months and haven’t been able to finish?
- Have you been thinking about doing a project for months and haven’t started it?
STOP!
Ask yourself if this project is what you REALLY want to do or not and if it’s not: STOP WASTING TIME and figure out what you REALLY want to be doing. For things we REALLY want to do, we do move mountains. Everything else is wasting valuable time that you will not recover ever.
I’m so proud of my cats! They don’t waste time! They REALLY do what they want.

First look to my new studio and me screen printing
Last night, I took a couple of hours off from this week’s super busy work schedule to make some art. I just HAD to do it. So I screen printed in my new studio for the first time and made a big mess. I couldn’t print the design I wanted to print first because the screen was clugged up with old ink and I have to just re do the screen, but I printed another drawing instead and it looks great!! My studio it’s almost in order for my interview with the Miami Herald tomorrow at 4:30PM!! Can’t wait!!

Peacocks on my roof!!
Yesterday, 3 peacocks spent their morning hanging out in the roof of my art studio in Coconut Grove, Miami!
They are such beautiful creatures. I love the little round things on top of their heads. I’m positive the aliens of Marvin the Martian were designed based on Peacocks.

This week, I’m super busy designing and animating for a Playstation Nicktoons Network project, the 7UP and the Dr Pepper music videos and haven’t had a moment to write another design article, but I will next week! Tomorrow we’ll be done with the Dr Pepper music video, FINALLY!! and by next Friday we’ll be done with the 7up music video. Will post stories, pics and videos right after!
Today my cat Orbit came to visit my art studio all by himself. He hanged out with me and Jewelery, the little kittie that lives outside.
